Administrative Permission for Ujjwol

We need an Administrator in this wiktionary who knows and contributes for Ne Wiktionary.

Ujjwol: I am Ujjwol Lamichhane from Open Learning Exchange Nepal (साझा शिक्षा ई-पाटी). We at OLE Nepal have decided to work on Wiktionary (NE) as there is an need of comprehensive dictionary in Nepali Language online and for our One Laptop Per Children Program. So, I am chosen as to take lead on that. So, I have started working on ne.wiktionary.org from around two weeks. At first, I improved the first page and other small improvements. I have also made template for adding words. And I have started to work on adding words. Around 4 days ago, Ne Wiktionary successfully crossed 100 words and now 200 words. We here at OLE will collectively add words and come up with many ways to make ne wiktionary go rapidly. MPP is giving(in around this month) us around 28000 type words corpus of Nepali Dictionary.

Me and we are all excited about this. But for many things like fixing many translation and usability issues, I need the admin permission. Till now, i have asked someone to do that by getting in #wiktionary. As our scale of work is being large every day, I think it won't be feasible for us to ask for them to do that every time. And they in most cases don't understand Nepali. So, giving me the administration permission, i would be able to that by myself. By the way, we will have around 4 people actively working on it from next week and I am in charge of them. :) We all need to manange vandalism and other amdin stuffs and that must be one who understands Nepali.

Bot policy

Hello. To facilitate steward granting of bot access, I suggest implementing the standard bot policy on this wiki. In particular, this policy allows stewards to automatically flag known interlanguage linking bots (if this page says that is acceptable), which form the vast majority of such requests. The policy also enables global bots on this wiki (if this page says that is acceptable), which are trusted bots that will be given bot access on every wiki that allows global bots.

This policy makes bot access requesting much easier for local users, operators, and stewards. To implement it we only need to create a redirect to this page from Project:Bot policy, and add a line at the top noting that it is used here. Please read the text at m:Bot policy before commenting. If you object, please say so; I hope to implement it soon if there is no objection, since it is particularly written to streamline bot requests on wikis with little or no community interested in bot access requests.

The official localisable Wiktionary logo

Hello! It was noted that Wiktionary in this language has not yet adopted a localised/translated logo: it's really a pity for a dictionary project!
We are trying to help Wiktionaries adopt a locally-adapted logo, by taking the technical difficulties on us. What we need from you is just the preferred translation of the name and motto, "Wiktionary" (if translated) and "The free dictionary": you can add them to the logo list, by editing it directly or commenting on the talk page; you can also add a note if you don't want the localised logo.
Of course, you can also create the logo and make the necessary requests on bugzilla yourself, if you prefer so.

Global AbuseFilter

Hello,

AbuseFilter is a MediaWiki extension used to detect likely abusive behavior patterns, like pattern vandalism and spam. In 2013, Global AbuseFilters were enabled on a limited set of wikis including Meta-Wiki, MediaWiki.org, Wikispecies and (in early 2014) all the "small wikis". Recently, global abuse filters were enabled on "medium sized wikis" as well. These filters are currently managed by stewards on Meta-Wiki and have shown to be very effective in preventing mass spam attacks across Wikimedia projects. However, there is currently no policy on how the global AbuseFilters will be managed although there are proposals. There is an ongoing request for comment on policy governing the use of the global AbuseFilters. In the meantime, specific wikis can opt out of using the global AbuseFilter. These wikis can simply add a request to this list on Meta-Wiki. More details can be found on this page at Meta-Wiki. If you have any questions, feel free to ask on m:Talk:Global AbuseFilter.
